A kitchen design with dark gray cabinets and contrasting white quartz countertops

The Story

Client Remodeling Goals

Our clients desired to simply update their home with a modern, open feel while adding more natural light to the space.

Design Vision

The Forward team removed a wall between the dining room and living room. A bump out was added to the kitchen which opened up the space dramatically, flooding the room with natural light. Kitchen cabinets flooring and countertops were replaced. A long horizontal window was added to give a unique modern element as well as let additional light in.

Materials

The kitchen countertops in this home are Cambria Quartz Torquay. The upper cabinet door style is Vista, and the lower cabinet door style is an Edgemont Recessed. Both have are finished in slate. The kitchen floor is Casabella Hardwood, San Pietro Solid 5" White Oak. The fireplace ledger stone came from Stone Tiles International. It is a Carbon 6" x 24" field tile.
