A resource we offer to our current and past remodeling clients is our full service furnishing services. Our designers coordinate, recommend and facilitate the placement and purchase of interior and exterior furnishings.

Our Process

Our design planning consists of six separate phases that will take you through the process of furnishing your new space(s).  The six phases are defined as follows:

  1. In-Home Consultation  - Your designer will meet with you in your home. Together you will discuss your desired aesthetic, measure the space(s) and talk about existing pieces you wish to incorporate. You will also discuss your desired budget.

  2. Space Planning - Your designer will create 2D line drawings of your space with a variety of layout options. You may choose one design, or combine several ideas to create your final layout.

  3. Selections and Presentation - We will help you to create a Pinterest board that you will share with your designer, helping direct their selection process.  Your designer will make selections and present ideas to you, often using sample materials such as fabrics and rugs.

  4. Estimating - Once a design direction has been determined, your final estimate will be prepared. When all numbers have been compiled, it will be presented for your approval.

  5. Ordering, Receiving and Delivery  -  All items will be ordered and received by Blue Birch or our receiving partner.  Each item will be inspected for damage and stored safely until install day.  

  6. Installation - Once all items are received, installation will occur.  This is an exciting day - you will see it all come together!

Interior Design FAQ

 

  • The cost for working with an interior designer for your furnishings varies. Factors that impact the cost are how many rooms you’re doing, the cost range of the furnishing pieces chosen, and how in-depth you’re going within the rooms.

    When we say in depth, we mean are you only doing the furniture in the space? Or are you working with your designer all the way down to accessories that will be set out?

  • The short answer is no. At Forward, we only offer our interior furnishing services to our remodeling and custom home clients.

  • Interior designers take your ideas for a room and bring it to life. Our designers coordinate, recommend and facilitate the placement and purchase of interior and exterior furnishings.

  • Yes, all of our interior designers are on our team. During your home remodel, your Project Designer will work closely with our Furnishings team and you to plan out and execute your interior furnishings and home decor.

  • Yes. Our interior designers have all been trained with formal schooling at reputable interior design and architecture institutions.
