Forward Design Build Remodel is proud to support Food Gatherers, Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor, Ronald McDonald House Charities and more.

We started our business with a singular mission to design and build beautiful spaces for our clients. That mission grew into also providing a professional and fun experience. In time, our mindset further evolved to include our local community. In the last 13 years, we have contributed time and money to many local organizations and non-profit charities. This has been a wonderful journey of giving, however, it has always been an inward journey.

It’s time for a change. It’s time for our charitable giving to be an outward force. By sharing our mission to contribute to the community, we are sharing the stories of these charities and hopefully starting more conversations to bring the wider community to the table.

When you work with us, you contribute to that mission as well.

Reaching Our Goal for 2023!

Thank you to our team, our clients, our trade partners and to everyone who helped us reach our Pay It Forward goals in 2023!

Along with donating to the organizations that mean the most to us, we put charitable efforts towards helping a local Ann Arbor family in need of a home remodel. Forward Design Build Remodel set the goal of donating $25,000 to this initiative. The Forward team was challenged to also contribute $25,000 in a combination of donating time, funds or items to local charities of their choosing.

A New Space for Jeanie & Brian

Following a diagnosis for ALS, Jeanie & Brian were looking to transform their garage space into an accessible space that Jeanie's parents could stay in while they were in town for treatments. In 2023 the Forward team and our trade partners stepped up to help turn this space into exactly what they were looking for.

Bathroom Remodel for Bob, Ann Arbor Veteran

One of our goals at Forward Design Build Remodel for 2022 was to help two veteran families in need of home updates. Bob served as a Radio Controller in the United States Air Force, and to this day is heavily involved in the local Ann Arbor veteran affinity groups. When we met Bob and visited his home, we knew that this was a perfect fit. Our team renovated Bob's bathroom, roof and a few other areas of his home. We want to thank our team and the local suppliers and trade partners that assisted us in this project!

Basement Remodel for a Growing Family

Chelsea and Juan both worked from home due to COVID-19. They quickly found out that they needed to make their basement a space that they could work from. Knowing how much Juan and Chelsea have already given back, Jef and Monica decided to Pay It Forward!

We believe in nurturing our community, and to that end, Forward Design Build Remodel is honored to give our continued support to these local non-profits.

Our House

Our House, based in Ypsilanti, is an organization that supports young people who have experienced foster care. In September, our team held a yard sale fundraiser to raise funds for Our House. We put these funds towards creating a hangout space for their Mosaic program.

Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor

The Cancer Support Community is near and dear to our hearts here at Forward. This year we are a sponsor for the Annual Amazing Race! All proceeds will be going to CSC, which provides free cancer treatment, emotional support and eduction to people with cancer and their loved ones.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Ann Arbor

Each year, Forward is a sponsor for the annual Red Shoe Affair that supports the mission of RMHCAA. In 2023, the Forward team also held a pantry drive of wishlist items for creating a “home away from home” for families whose children are receiving treatment at local hospitals.
