Pay It Forward: Building a Stronger Ann Arbor Community
Forward Design Build Remodel builds more than beautiful homes; we pride ourselves on building a stronger and healthier Ann Arbor community. We believe it is in everyone’s best interest to give back whenever possible, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to help the people and organizations making a real difference. Here are three local initiatives we’ve recently supported:
H4H Women Build Day
Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build day is an opportunity to empower local women and help them gain valuable building experience by constructing homes and providing repairs for other women in need. Forward Design Build Remodel was honored to participate this past May by volunteering on the construction of a home for a hardworking single mother in Ann Arbor. This rewarding experience, and the positive ripple effect it will bring to the community, filled our hearts.

Pay it Forward Recipients Juan & Chelsea
Homeowners Juan and Chelsea are an Ann Arbor couple who, like many of us, found themselves suddenly needing to adjust to working at home while keeping their two young children entertained.
Strong advocates of social justice and healthcare, Juan and Chelsea have both done a lot to give back to their communities. Through our Pay It Forward program, we helped these homeowners by coordinating with local professionals to provide a remodeling project free of charge.
Juan and Chelsea now have a remodeled basement complete with two office spaces and a fun and engaging playroom for their children.

Looking forward
In addition to the mentioned “giving back” projects, Forward Design Build proudly supports other annual initiatives such as, “Ruby’s Wish” and sponsorship of the Arbor/Ypsi Little League.
