We are hiring for an Warranty Lead Carpenter

The Warranty Lead Carpenter is a representative in the maintenance of past work, and is charged with producing quality craftsmanship, timely service and exceptional client experience. At all times, representing and upholding the principles of the company and conducting yourself in a manner consistent with the company’s values and mission.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Timely communication and completion of warranty items.

2. Financial efficiency of repairs.

3. Provide and contribute to memorable moments to the client.

4. Direct labor support as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Being fully prepared for the subcontractor on the day they are scheduled with no idle time due to incomplete or last-minute planning and preparation. Have all required material and information needed.

2. Ensure trade partners are fully informed of their scope changes.

3. Ordering the proper amount of materials to ensure minimal trips to the supply house.

4. Submitting receipts via Smartsheet and delivery tickets of purchased or delivered items on a current basis.

5. Completing your time entry in Smart sheet App by the end of each day.

Job Site Supervision

1. Visit each project, Checking each subcontractor's and our carpenters work when they are finished to ensure quality, completeness and conformance with their work order.

2. Keeping the job site clean and organized. Installing all dust, safety and security protections.

3. Provide direction - Meet with carpenters and or trade partners, set-up work and clean up expectations. Review safety policies and job site rules.

4. Receiving material deliveries, signing receipts and checking for accuracy of the material, quantity and measurement of the delivery and for quality, damage or defects.

5. Returning undamaged materials that cannot be used at the first available time. Storing materials in a way that reduces damage or theft after they are delivered to the site.

Labor:

1. Performing carpentry work, general labor and other work as needed for the progress of the job.

Material Purchasing and Ordering:

Responsible for having necessary materials on site or facilitating purchase with carpenter.

Specific Characteristics Required:

2. Solid command of the English language (excellent verbal communication skills).

3. Ability to communicate interpersonally in an open and effective style; excellent listening skills.

4. Desire to learn and develop within the industry, and to gain knowledge towards advancement.

5. An easy-going and friendly disposition – ability to work with various personalities.

6. Common sense - Ability to admit mistakes.

7. Must have valid drivers license.

8. Must pass a background check and drug test.

9. Able to lift 40 or more pounds.

10. Able to take direction.

Required Meetings:

1. Attend and contribute to all company meetings.

2. Attend and contribute to weekly carpenter meetings.

3. Attend and contribute to weekly meeting with Production Manager.

Reporting Requirement: The Production Manager has the following reporting requirements:

1. Reports to: Production Manager, Owner, General Manager.

2. Direct reports: All Carpenters, Apprentice, Laborer.
