A Family Home Built in the 1950's gets a Complete Remodel that Preserves the Bungalows Character
Client Remodeling Goals
As the house was built by a family member in the 1950's, the main goal was to preserve the integrity, and the nostalgic charm of the original structure, while updating finishes and creating more usable space.
Our Design Solutions
We focused on improving the layout of the house by reorganizing and increasing livable space on the first and second floor. The kitchen features cherry cabinets, granite countertops, and a unique handmade, glazed terracotta backsplash to give the space the mid-century modern feel our clients were seeking. New windows and insulation were installed to increase the efficiency of the home.
