Curb Appeal
Your front door can say a lot about you and your home, after all, it is the first thing people see when they come to visit. Your door sets the tone and style of your home. So, if you really want to give your guests something to talk about and boost your curb appeal instantly, consider some of the following ideas to make your door really standout!
Paint
Make a bold statement by giving your front door a fresh new color. A bold colored front door can change the whole facade of your house. Even if you’re not a fan of bright colors, you can give guests a warm welcome with friendly tones of green, gray, and blue. Think about the kind of statement you're trying to make with your home and make sure the color or style of your door makes that statement clear.
Size
Many new modern doors that are coming into style are wider than the typical front door. The large size draws attention from a distance and the unique pivot action (as pictured above) engages visitors up close. For a more classic aesthetic, consider a double-door entry. Double doors create an elegant look and allows your entrance to be a grand affair.
Material
You can say a lot with just the material alone. If you want your home to feel more open and inviting, use a large glass paneled door. A thick wood door gives way to a more closed and formal atmosphere.
Hardware
Updating your doors hardware is a quick and inexpensive way to update the look of the entire door. Apart from the door itself, the door handle can also say a lot about you and your home's style. The traditional handle will always be in style, however, new modern rod handles are the latest door trend. To add even more character, consider adding a door knocker and a matching doorbell.
